Welcome to the seventh grade blog for the 2007-2008 school year! We are delighted to have several new students this year, bringing the grand total for seventh grade up to 15 students. Seventh grade has become quite international this year with the students from New York, Canada, Germany, and Jarabacoa. Seventh grade is full of energy and curiosity. We are looking forward to a great year!

Este año escolar ha sido una experiencia multicultural, pues contamos con alumnos de Alemania, Canada y el profesor de español, Colombiano. Es una gran experiencia pues estos alumnos tienen muchisimas ganas de aprender un nuevo idioma.

Hi my name is Glenys and this is me.

Now I'm studiyng in Doulos Discovery School, one of my favorites teachers is Andrew 'cause he's funny and he is there when you need it he give us free time and he let us work in the computer when we need to finish something.

One of the clases that I don't like too much is French 'cause its really difficult and how my mom saids"WHEN YOU DON'T LIKE ONE CLASS JUST DO HARD TO PASS" that's my mom.

y así soy yo. Ahora yo estoy estudiando en doulos Discovery school el cual es una colegio muy bueno.

Uno de mis profesores favoritos es Andrew porque el es muy divertido y siempre esta con uno cuando uno lo necesita. El nos da tiempo libre y nos deja trabajar en la computadora cuando necesitemos terminar algo.

Me gusta mucho este colegio porque hacemos muchas expediciones y nos enceñan bien. Una de las clases que no me gusta tanto es Frances porque es muy dificil, pero comop dice mi madre el que no le gusta una clase tiene que esforsarce mas en esa.

Soy simpatica y me gusta la Yaroa, es una comida super buena. Bueno si no la has comido ve al Rent-Car de Chachi solo por 90-120-180 pesos. Vamos compratela y pruevala son deliciosas solo se venden de noche Ejemplo: 6:00pm- en adelante.

Tengo muchos amigos con quien compartir como tú. Tengo 12 años y 1 hermano menor que yo, a el le gusta montar motocross y bicicleta y a mi me gusta montar Motocross y escuchar musica como la de Aventura .

In Geography class we are making a newspaper about the Roman Empire. This newspaper has everything to do about it like the famous gladiators, their emperor, Julius Cesar, and much more. This newspaper has helped us understand more about the Roman Empire because at the beginning of this project we didn't even know the Roman Empire existed. That is why I also want to thank Cody, our teacher, for giving us this project because I've learned more than what I thought I was going to learn.

Capitulo de Juan 1:1-8

En este capitulo habla acerca de que Dios vino a este mundo a buscar a sus hijos pero a los que le aceptaron (los que no eran sus hijos le dio el derecho de serlos). También dice que todas las cosas él las hizo y que si él no las hubiera hecho el mundo estuviera vacío.

1:1 En el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios.
1:2 Este era en el principio con Dios.
1:3 Todas las cosas por él fueron hechas, y sin él nada de lo que ha sido hecho, fue hecho.
Juan: 1:1-3

El es vida y el nos dio vida(luz). Entonces como el nos dio vida o (luz). Así que el mal(tinieblas)no se quedaron a luchar sino que se rindieron.
Había un hombre que se llamaba Juan y dios lo mando a dar testimonio de Dios no de él mismo(Juan).

1:4 En él estaba la vida, y la vida era la luz de los hombres.

This blog is specially for the seventh grade class. We tell something we have learned in school. My tittle is: Art

In art we have learned of perspectives and right now we are designing a teachers lounge. We have to do a plan and draw everything it has in it. My Concept is: Comfort.
I am going to make the teachers relax but at the same time work very hard.
I have in mind like separate the places, Example:
Make the relaxing part in one place an the working place in another. In the middle there are two squared columns, i am going to put like a glass that you can just see from the relaxing part to the working part. While you are in the working part if you try to see to the relaxing part you would not be able to.

Paragliding

Hi, this is a blog especially dedicated to paragliding. On Science Class we are concentrating a lot on paragliding.

One day we went to Jamaca de Dios on Jarabacoa, La Vega. When we were going there that we are on the truck we were like a little bit nauseous because we were going side to side. When we get there we were anxious to see Francis and Juan paragliding. When they were preparing to fly we were observing the time. When they were prepared we went with then to the top of the mountain.

They were seconds of taking-off. When they took-off we were surprised of seeing them flying in front of us. But only Juan took-off, because he took-off first. Then we waited for Francis to take-off so we can go down and see them from under. We were amazed for the technology of the paragliders.

In Science Class we were discussing this. We were discussing if one of the class could make it. But we went to a discussion and Francis said that if we fly with out one of them the possibility of dying was 99.9% that's fatal.

The owner of the mountain was Steve, Tobi's father. So she ask her father if she could fly with Francis and Juan from Jamaca de Dios. And he said that if she could fly with one of them(Francis/Juan) she could fly. So we contacted Francis and Juan to go and talk with us; and they said yes.

I'm not going to say what happen.

Here is my autobiography:

My Life.

This is a short summary of my life, who am I. And that being a Christian means to me. I’m not going to write it all in detail because I don’t know it all. There are some events here that changed my life. To me life has been very fair and unfair. From the moment you think life is going to go better, that is when it turns upside down I just want you to know that life is not easy to no one.

My name Is Jennifer Magdalena Sánchez.. I was born the 14th of august 1993 in Barrio Blanco, Jarabacoa Rep. Dom. As the date might say I’m 13 years old now. I have a brother whose name is Raul Esteban Sánchez both of us grown up with Ana Cristina Marte(mom) and Epifanio Sánchez(dad) his nickname is Raul. I’m a Christian girl that loves Jesus every day more. My parents had shape through all my life and I thank them for that. They were there when I needed them. And helped me to grow up in Jesus.

To me been a Christian doesn’t mean to go to church and that’s it. It means trying to do what the bible says and not doing my own will. Before being a Christian was easier to me, now is not and I hope in the future gets better. Now I’m trying to have a dipper relationship with God. Life is never easy to no one. Like other people I’m not perfect and no one is. I hope people could make their lives before born. (This is my favorite verse)

To me life is an adventure and some times a movie I hope it will be like that forever. Because one day is different than the other one. I have few stories in my life. Some of then are fun some of then sad. But non of my days have been the same never, I would like that some of them repeat somehow but that is impossible. Life is an incredible or the best adventure is you have Jesus in your heart.
I want to be an architect when I grow up. I have many dreams and this is one of them. I think I’m good at other things but I like this better.This is every thing. I hope you enjoy it and that you have a better story than mine. Like I said before life is not easy to no one.

Un dia estabamos en ciencia y Miss Ezpinoza nos dio un papel para que los padres firmaran para ir a Jamaca de Dios.
El proposito de ir era que nosotros ibamos a estar viendo como los parapentes se tiran el tipo de clima que habia cuando ellos se tiraron ellos comenzaron a dar vueltas y a ser muchas cosas.

Ese mismo dia Miss Espinoza nos dijo que antes de irnos necesitamos hacer 10 cosas que vimos y que sentimos en ese rato que estuvimos aya.

This year in our science class I have learned about water. I am so proud because I know more about it now.

Water is something important to the world. Through the water cycle, we get water in different ways like: evaporation, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, etc. Sometimes I wonder 'how does water get clean?' Now I know the answer for that question. It is that the impermeable rock cleans it.

Manabao Trip

When 7th through 9th grade went to Manabao we were really happy that we were going to have a great trip, but something really bad happened. We were going to start planting trees on the second day. What happened was that I got cut with a plant and then I sat down. Eudis yelled "Come - we need to finish this today!" I was really mad.

Later, we went to the river beside the bridge and we got a lot of plants a bags. I got to take 7 plants in it I was really tired. Then we were hungry and we saw a sweet lemon tree and we all ran to them. I ate like 6 lemons. We went to the camp and we rested for the whole day.

I learned that when planting trees, you have to take the tree out of the bag before it goes in the ground.

The 3rd day we made "Solo" we had two hours sitting in a different place. I thought about alot of things in my life.

This was a cool trip. I can't wait until our next one.
